Garmin Approach G3 Golf GPS

I am afraid to say that some golfers have no idea when it comes to following the rules. Etiquette is the most important part of the golf game. Listed below are a few of the main things golfers forget or do not realise.

  • Holding up play working out distance to green
  • Hitting up behind other golfers
  • Bunker play, not raking them after shot
  • Repairing your divots.
  • Working out your score on the green
  • Making a noise whilst others are playing their shots

These are just a few of the common errors some golfers play during their round including bad language, slow play, throwing clubs and not following dress code.

Here is my list of 5 worst examples of poor golf etiquette: -

Repairing your divots

Whether you dig up part of the tee, fairway or the green, repairing divots is an important part of golf etiquette. Although all 3 are very important, actually repairing your divots on the green is essential; Bunker care also comes with this, raking the bunkers when you have played shot.

Being noisy on the course

Some players are so distracting on the course, constantly shouting after playing a bad shot or even chattering away when you are trying to play your shot. This is so frustrating and annoying when trying to concentrate on the shot ahead. Golf is an hard enough game as it is, without distraction like this.

Holding up play

This to me is the worst of all. The players in front stand around discussing how far away the green is before playing their shot, and then they have to choose their club and then change their mind. Its so frustrating playing behind these and then you get people behind you. This tends to have a negative effect on your game as it puts pressure on you. For working out distances to the green I use the Garmin Approach G3 Golf GPS.

Hitting up behind other golfers

Some golfers are so impatient they play their next shot before they should; this is dangerous to the players in front. Also with this some people do not realise how far away the golf group in front are. By using the Garmin Approach G3 Golf GPS with touch screen you can touch roughly where the group ahead are and it will give you the distance they are away. Therefore your decision on whether to play your next shot for you is made for you.

Working out your golf score

There is nothing more frustrating than the golfer’s ahead standing on the green working out their score for the hole. By the time they have discussed why it all went wrong and what they should have done. A few minutes have been wasted. By using the Garmin Approach G3 Golf GPS device you can add your scores as you go along.

Getting off the green as quickly as possible is good etiquette.

Golf can be a thoroughly enjoying game, although frustrating at times. Golf etiquette is the most important part of playing golf and I would recommend to anyone taking up the sport that you become familiar with the rules.
