A Perfect Golf Shot

Any golfer will tell you that a perfect golf shot is what they strive for. There is nothing more satisfying than have the ball travel the exact path that you intended. The shot may have been a result of luck or skill but it does not matter. It might not happen all that often but when it does all the bad shots do not matter any more! It can make a round of golf that is not going well seem like it has gone perfectly.

With every shot on the course you have a plan. Everyone does. The problem is that, especially for the amateur golfer, a lot of the times it does not happen that way. There can be several different things that you are trying to do with any single shot. You can be trying to control the distance, or want to hit the snot out of it. You may want to try to get some air under it to go over a tree, or maybe keep it low to go under some limbs. The shot may also require a little bit of a fade or a draw. With some many different options it is no wonder why a golf shot can be a disaster at times.

It does not matter when the perfect golf shot happens. It could happen in the begin, middle, or end of your round. When that perfect shot happens it changes everything. After the shot you have confidence that you need in your golf game. Every golfer can use more confidence. If you were having a poor performance before this point, that one shot can help you forget about everything that has already happened. On the other hand, if the round was going good before this point it will help keep your score low. Bottom line a whole round is effected by this one swing of the club!

Like I said before, a perfect shot can be luck or skill and maybe a bit of both. When it happens to you I can promise that it will not matter which is the case. Some times it pays to be more lucky than good. Also if the shot is a result of lots of practice and preparation it may be a little sweeter. I have personally had a perfect golf shot be a result of both and I get excited either way.

The only downside is if you are alone when this happens. If you have friends like mine they get a little skeptical when you talk about hitting a perfect golf shot by yourself. Not to worry, you know the truth and have benefited from the results. Nothing can change that.

Few things measure up to the excitement of a perfect golf shot. The result can greatly impact the golf round and maybe your golf game as a whole. Regardless, it is exciting and keep a golfer coming back to the course for years.
