Although the couple issued a joint statement through their lawyers, which read: "although we divorced now, we really wish each other can have a very best for the future." They also said "While we are not getting married any more, we have two wonderful children and their happiness is of the most importance to both of us. Once we reached the decision that our marriage was over, the primary aim of our friendly discussions has been to ensure their future well-being."

 

The divorce of Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren had been anticipated, and they lawyers said nothing about the details of a settlement.

 

Last November after Tiger Woods was injured in a car accident, he was reported in the National Enquirer alleging an affair with a New York nightclub hostess.
