The Break Par Blueprint by John Richardson

2016/7/20 14:25:28

John Richardson was and is a keen golfer. His local club is the Blackwood Golf Centre. John wasn't a particularly good player. Indeed, like many other amateur golfers, beating 100 for a round was a real treat!

Feeling very frustrated, but being a fighter, John decided that he had to find a way to beat par. So, one year in May he set himself a challenge. He determined to beat par at his local course within 12 months! If it sounds ambitious, that's because it was.

The great and the good said it couldn't be done. Golfer Darren Clarke told John that three years minimum was a more realistic timescale in which to achieve his objective.  Scottish Ryder Cup star Sam Torrance told John to "Dream on". Many other experienced golfers were equally disparaging and scoffed at John's chances of attaining his goal.

There followed a year of madness and mayhem. John hit more than 35,000 golf balls, read at least 60 golf books and viewed dozens of instructional videos. He met many inspirational and helpful people along the way and, amazingly, his marriage survived.

The record shows that 363 days from starting the project, John completed a one under par round of 70 at Blackwood. The challenge was recorded in a monthly column in Golf Digest Ireland. Many other magazines carried articles on him with a full page spread in Today's Golfer.

For fellow amateur golfers, John has created a twelve module video course covering each area of the key skills he learned. John says that you can easily see huge improvements in your golf simply by applying one or two of the modules.

Either way, if you're a golfer, the challenge itself is worth reading about. You can get more information about The Break Par Blueprint by John Richardson -  Click Here.
