Draw shot starts from the right then curve to the left. It is mainly used when the direct shot to your target has obstacle such as trees which make you shot the ball in a curve or on the dogleg hole.  Compared to the hook, draw shot is a little slighter. As you know, hook is quite strong and usually ends up in the rough. Yet, if you deliberately do it and calculate it to your target, it will be smooth.

If you want to perform draw shot, you could start it off pretty straight and it is followed by falling off to the left. This type of shot will make the ball be able to roll further while it is landing since the ball receives a forward spin.

If you want to be skillful in performing draw shot, you have to practice. There are some golf equipment you have to prepare such as golf shirts, bags, balls, gloves, lessons, club cleaners, lessons, shoes, tees, clubs, hats, and also golf practice equipment. You will probably need distance measurer for measuring the distance of your ball.

The following are some steps you can do for practicing draw shot. Yet, it is aimed for right-handed. If you are left-handed, you only need to reverse them.

The first thing to do while practicing is to set up the golf shot by using the alignment and also grip. Then, you have to adjust your feet for aiming to the right side of your target. Adjust the angle of your feet as well as your swing for the result you want. The angle is usually in the range of 5 up to 45 degrees. To start, you could try 10 up to 15 degrees to the right side.

The next step is to aim the face of the club directly to your target and use the normal grip. Then, swing normally. Right after that you have to resist the temptation for turning soon so that you could see the flight of the ball.
