Golf Tips From The Pros Will Help Your Practice Time

Are you a beginning golfer, or have you been playing for awhile? Either way, you will become a better golfer if you take advantage of golf tips from the pros. If you ever watch a golf tournament, you see a lot of things that a pro golfer does, but to find out what pro golfers really do, you need to watch them play a practice round or watch the on the practice range.

Every round of golf is different. Think about what it is like for you. Do you remember your last three rounds, and how different they were? Even if you played two rounds on the same day they would be different. You would hit your drives in different places, so your second shots could be with different clubs.

Since each round you play presents an entirely new experience, you will have shots that you never expected. What good players do that lesser players do not do, is practice unusual shots from unusual places. That is why they are so go at getting out of trouble. They practice those types of shots

One good way to practice chipping is to work your way all the way around the practice green. Hit downhill shots, uphill shots, sidehill shots, hit shots over mounds, put the ball in bad lies, hit lob shots, hit run up shots, and pay attention to how the ball reacts to each.

Through practice, you will be able to feel how hard you need to hit the ball in everyone of the many situations. Do not always give yourself a good lie. Do the same with putting. Practice on every part of the green, from every direction, and from every distance, and before long your putting will improve dramatically.

It is no accident that golf professionals are very good at chipping and putting. Practice does work if you know how to do it. In fact, the only way to get better is to practice. As long as you have a basic understanding of the game, practice does make perfect, or at least much better.

One way to get the most benefit from your practice sessions is to practice with a friend. Make a game out of your practice by taking turns choosing a shot. That competing should make you concentrate on each shot, and the more you are able to think about your shots when you are practicing, the better your mind will work when you are out on the course.
