Golf is a game in which a player using special clubs attempts to sink a small ball with as few strokes as possible into each of the nine or eighteen successive holes on an outdoor course. Each hole has associated with it a par, or score standard, usually from par three to par five. Golf is a competitive sport, and a very popular recreational activity played by people of a wide range of age and ability.

Here’s how to win golf.

Step one: Practice. Practice as much as you can, especially in the days prior to the tournament. Play as many rounds of golf as possible on the actual golf course wherein the tournament will be held. Play every possible shot that you can think of. Ensure that you cover all areas of the game in your practice, including putting, chipping, driving, long irons, mid irons, and wedges. How to practice is really up to you. You can choose to simply visualize, work on the mechanics, or just try to get the feel down. Step two: Prepare. Prepare yourself physically and mentally. Get enough rest in the days leading up to the tournament, and make sure that you are eating right.

Step three: Study. Study the golf course wherein the tournament will be played on. The more you study, the easier it will be to make decisions when you are trying to win a golf tournament. Step four: Relax. While trying to win a golf tournament, do not let your emotions get the best of you. Whether you hit a good shot or a bad shot, your only thought should be how you are going to play the next one.

Step five: Never be too sure. When trying to win a golf tournament, never believe that you are too far ahead to lose, or that you are too far behind to win. Remember that in golf, anything can happen.
