How to choose the drivers? Ping G25 Driver or Titleist 913 D2 Driver?

Since my previous Ping G15 driver was broken in an accident, I intended to add a new driver into my golf bag. After many tests in my local shop and many research on google. I have narrowed the targets into two drivers, they are the ping g25 driver and the titleist 913 d2 driver, both 460CC big head, both the latest version of famous brand, both own adjustable head. How to choose the right one for me? Finally I chose the ping g25 dirver and today I will share some of my experience.

First of all, both drivers have a very nice beautiful design titanium head. You can take notice of the large sweet spot upon contact with the ball thanks to their titanium head. The light graphite shaft can help you to get great swing speed. However, titleist 913d2 driver is a men golf driver, not suitable for women, considering that my wife also can use it, I prefer to the ping g25 driver, which can be used by women too but I have not decided.

Second, I am a 5 handicap golfer and want more distance by the driver, I went to my local shop and found that the graphite shaft of ping g25 driver is 0.75" longer than the 913d2, my height is 6'7", the g25 is more suitable for my height, I tried both drivers in my local shop and found that the longer shaft of g25 driver can help me get 10 yards longer than 913 d2, about 30 yards than my previous ping g15 driver, very cool.

Last, the price of ping g25 driver in my local shop is around $350, meanwhile the 913 d2 is around $400, the local shop offer a free adjustment tool on ping g25, meanwhile the tool of 913 d2 is not free, cost more $20. I am not a rich man so finally decided to take the ping g25 driver to my home. I saved totally $70 in this purchase. Why not?

So golfers who are confused how to choose the right driver, please search the clubs' reviews on google at first and then narrow the clubs you interested into 2 or 3 clubs, then go to the local shop and try the clubs you interest (2-3 different drivers are enough). Most golf drivers are very forgiving these days, they just have a very little difference, find the best one for yourself, not the expensive one and then take it back to home, trust the driver, trust yourself.
