The Wingate Hotel In St George Utah And What I Liked Least About Staying There

We have stayed at the Wingate in St George Utah twice now and we are true believers. It is simply our favorite hotel there. That's it, give em a call and make your decision. Okay, I'll tell you why... The hotel is close but not too close to the freeway. Most hotels are too close to the freeway but not the Wingate, it's located in a nice part of town and it's close to everything you'll need when you get there. They actually feed you here too, not just coffee and muffins either we're talking eggs, bacon, waffles, juices. The rooms are great too, they are comfortable and bright. The staff is very attractive and eager to please. The pool and spa are good sized, heated in the winter and there are plenty of extra towels handy. The Fitness Center is good sized and right next to the pool, the Business Center is rather small but it gets the job done. I wish the dining area was not the first thing I saw as I entered the hotel, I would have preferred it to be the second or third thing I noticed.

They also bake cookies during the day and have them available at the front desk. It's nothing really but I do not normally eat sweets but I will eat freshly baked cookies. The Hotel is located in the middle of a maze like parking lot. If you have never been there it's Insane trying to find it at night. It's very convenient if you need to go to the Walmart Superstore next door, or have your teeth fixed also next door of go and spend half your Sunday at an LDS church, all are right there, oh I forgot the double sided strip center with the green space to look at from the Hotel's pool.

It may be just the area as Utahan's have large families but I've always noticed the large families at breakfast in the morning, maybe they are value oriented consumers. Or maybe mom and dad know how hard it is to feed a bunch of kids while on a road trip.

My favorite features in order at the Wingate. The rooms, the staff, the free breakfast, pool and spa, WIFI access, and the business center. I don't use the gym or that would be in my top 5.

I really do think you will enjoy staying at the Wingate St George. Nearby is everything you will need to replenish yourself and your car.
