Golf Courses Around The World II

I started this quest out in Scotland because golf originated in Scotland and I thought that would be the best place to start. This is about golf courses around the world so let’s go on the other side of the world for the next set of golf courses.

Let us look at a few courses in the very beautiful state of Hawaii, beutiful islands surrounded by Blue Ocean and scenery second to none in the world.

It must have been a massive undertaking to build this golf course where it was built. They were to have a 200-acre course and needed to carve 1500 acres out of the jungle. In 1991 that is just what they did, achieving excellence and the best golf course on Oahu.

This golf course has been dubbed “The World’s Most Challenging Golf Course”, with good cause as this par 72 course give all challengers the toughest course they have ever played, sounds interesting to say the least.

The Ko’olau is a private course with memberships at $3,500.00 or for two family members $4,500.00 annually. The Ko’ olau Golf Course is located at 45 – 550 Kionaole Road, Kaneohe, Oahu, it is just 20 minutes away from Waikiki. Not sure if the public can arrange for a tee time. If you happen to know a member, he or she will be able to get you a tee time.
