Hitting from the golf tee can make or break your golf game. Please continue reading to find out further golf driving techniques.

Most golfers are constantly seeking improvment in both their distance and accuracy of their tee shots, this is no surprise. Learning to strike a golf ball with both distance and accuracy will allow for some more opportunities for birdies and eagles. Essentially, the better your striking accuracy is, the straighter the ball will go. This will cut the number of hooks/slices you do.

Perfecting the combination of these two skills will significantly improve your game.

You will want to master both distance and accuracy, to be able to do this, you will want to perfect your stance and setup. Always address the tee with your feet shoulder-width apart and your knees flexed.

An important tip to remember is that you have to have a square stance when you address the ball. Your feet should both be lined up towards the target. It is often advised to always hold a square stance, but as you might know, there are times when you may need to alter the stance a little to slightly open or close your placement, this can be done by moving the front foot up or back. With this in mind, you have to ensure that you hold your hips and shoulders lined up and square to the target. By keeping a decent square stance at address you will before long see a vast improvement in accuracy.

In order to increase your distance, you will need to acquire the art of speeding up the club head, this can be tricky to perfect. You must ensure that you can properly wind and unwind your body, while keeping your knees flexed. Standing too tall and straight will decrease your potential to gain potential distance.

If your shots a regularly slicing or hooking, you have a problem. A poor shot can often be the result of bad grip. You may be hitting the ball with an open or closed club face if your grip is too tight or too loose. To perform a fluent and accurate shot you will need to ensure your grip is neutral, this means not too tight but not too weak.

While setting up, remember to play the ball forward. This means that you should ensure that the ball is actually closer to your leading foot in your stance. By playing the ball forward like this you are allowing the shot to fly high and most importantly, accurate.

Some golf driving techniques are often overlooked, one of the lesser known golf driving techniques is to always ensure that your hips lead the backswing, do not let the hands lead the swing. A proper hip turn is essential in gaining distance off the tee. This is because as your hips begin the swing, the rest of the body will follow.

A very important aspect of the swing is the peak. Once you reach the top of your backswing, you must let your hips to commence the downswing. With this simple technique nailed, you will soon realize the positive effect this has on your game.

One of the more well known techniques to improving your accuracy is to make sure the club head is followed by the hands through the strike. This helps you to hit the ball with a square club face, preventing any hooking or slicing problems and giving you a more consistantly accurate shot.

It may also be worth checking out the new 460 cc drivers to improve on any of the above golf driving techniques. These drivers are the heaviest available drivers and they incorporate a much larger head. This can help with gaining more distance but you must be aware that without proper practice, these clubs can be problematic to master the accuracy. You will need to allow plenty of time to practice with these clubs.
