Fix My Golf Slice Fast

If your address is wrong, this can be a leading contributor to slicing a ball. However, there are countless issues that can cause this to happen.

Keeping a square stance, like many other golfers do, is important to correcting a golf slice. Unless your foot is directly in line with your left shoulder, your ball can fly to the right on impact.

You now need to make sure your grip is nice and nuetral. Holding a club too tightly can cause your club head to open on impact, and a lot of new players tend to do this. Having a grip that is too tight or too loose can both lead to a hook or a slice. You need to have a nuetral grip to prevent the ball from soaring to the right.

To figure out if you are holding your club right, all you have to do is look down at your hands. With a correct grip, you should be able to see two or three knuckles on your left hand. You will have an incorrect grip if you can’t see any of your knuckles at all.

Keep rotating just your hands until you are able to see a couple of your knuckles. Make sure you have a few practice swings with this new grip. By altering your grip slightly will have a huge effect and will last a long time.

Another important tip to correcting a golf slice is swing tempo. A lot of golfers might think that all the power in your distance comes from your arms. This however, is not correct. So what these golfers do, is once they reach the top of their backswing, they let their hands take control and lead the downswing. When they do this, it is allowing the club face to open.

From start to end, your swing needs to be smooth and relaxed. Don’t be tempted to jerk the club when you get to the top of your backswing. You need to allow your hips to begin the downswing for everything else to follow nicely.

Another tip when it comes to correcting your golf slice is to look at your pivot. You will encounter some problems if you notice that your pivot is slightly off to the right. So to avoid this from happening, always make sure your stance is square.

Finding the problems and fixing them will obviously take a lot of time and patience when it comes to fixing a golf slice. But finding the problems and figuring out solutions is the key, and soon you will be playing better in no time.
