A golf slice cure is the one vital thing golfers need when their golf game is blighted by this horrendous golf fault. It is an easy fault to lapse into but not always that easy to come out of. Even so, a golf slice cure is possible. For those who are not sure what the golf slice looks like, it is the shot which starts left and bends to the right, often landing the golfer in a trouble spot for the next golf shot.

What Causes The Golf Slice?

The first places to look for the cause are the golf grip and the stance. The grip must not be too weak, and the stance must not be too open, which encourages the outside to in swing path. The problem is, golfers are not always aware they are playing shots with an open stance, so it is advisable to regularly check you are standing square to the ball at the address position.

Check that the ball is not too far forward at the address, as this contributes to the problem. What might surprise you, is that standing with a closed stance at the setup position can also result in a golf slice. How does this happen? What happens is, you are trying to swing through the ball in line with the target and in doing so you are swinging from outside to in, from this closed stance position. The club face is open at impact and the ball bends away to the right.

It follows that the golf slice cure comes by gripping the club correctly, and making sure you stand square to the ball at address. This means having both toes in line with the target.

The best place to look for the ultimate golf slice cure is in the address, and the way you grip the golf club.
