Does Sex Have Any Place In Golf Instruction?

More and more women are looking to improve their golf games. The ultimate experience for the new woman is the womans only golf school instruction. These schools are committed to the idea that every golfer must develop their own style, particularly if you are a woman. This is accomplished by teaching the golfer to understand her best skills, and improving on that knowledge. The siginificant lesson here is to provide necessary self correction after they have left the school and the swing patterns falter!

There is hardly any feminine mystery about this kind of golf instruction.Consequently there is no need to encounter intimidation or frustration in the instruction process because you are a woman.

There is probably no exclusive female swing, or fundamental female mechanics, but there are different techniques which are more pertinent to women, and anatomical differences do require attention. Obviously women approach this game differently than men, notably in personal competitiveness. But don't ever think they are not competitive, women show it differently that's all. Women have physical difference because their upper body strength is limited. For a women to develop a successful golf swing she must maintain better timing and lower body movement to a greater degree than their male counterparts.

A significant debate exists about woman's emotional quotient on the links. (One can draw their own conclusions about that subject!)

Traditionally men dominate the golf schools and the ranks of golf instruction. That however changed dramatically in the past 10-15 years. Master Women LPGA teachers and golf instructors are legion throughout the country. These women are skilled lesson givers, (and golfers!) who know how to relate to the student's learning process, regardless of sex Experienced women instructors are well aware of the many ways in which students progress, and how to handle these individual differences. There is significant golf study that indicates that women instructors in many areas are superior to men instructors. Is that because they listen better?

It is also clear that there are significant numbers of ladies who prefer to take instruction in an all women setting. Most nation wide golf schools offer programs for co-educational teaching as well as lessons for those who prefer exclusively women classes and women instructors.

There are a limited number of countrywide golf schools which teach women exclusively with exclusively female instructors. The East and West Coast have the two longest running golfing locations of this type..

These programs last 4-5 days , often with luxury accommodations and pampered treatment. They are a "happening" and extremely popular with those who can afford them! There has been a rising trend in womens golf nationally which has been driven by The advent of the Executive Womans Association with its national leadership and local chapters. The organization has has local chapters which average over 150 members each. The overall membership well exceeds 10,000.

As more and more women assume prominent roles in politics, business and finance, a whole cottage industry has arisen. It's appropriate theme might be "how do play golf under the glass ceiling?

Most women's golf schools classes are small (3.5:1 ratio),affordable, and designed particularly with the women's perspective in mind.Whether you are an executive, a recreational player or an entry level student, you may want to considerconsider women only classes for your next golf school instruction.
