Cap

Cap is the most visible part of the wear. The semi spherical portion of the cap is made of number of small pieces of fabric. These fabric pieces are known as panels. Panels are stitched together to create semi spherical formation that covers entire head of the wearer. Panes have eyelets that help in diffusion air in and out of the panels. Bill, tough crescent shaped structure is attached to the panels. Bill or visor prevents sun glare from directly falling in the eyes of the wearer. A cap usually bears the name or logo of the team.

Jersey

Cotton and wool were the common material used for making youth baseball uniform initially. Now the apparel is available in number of synthetic fabric. Polyester is the most popular synthetic material for designing the wear. Polyester is a comfortable and more durable fabric. The front of a baseball jersey bears the name of the team. Logo is generally placed on the left side. The back side has the name and number allotted to the player. Some teams also get their logo imprinted on the sleeves.

Trousers

Baseball trousers are skin hugging to prevent the bat to get stuck in the loose pantaloons. This is the reason length pants were replaced by three quarter trousers. Stocking run over the pants so that no part of the trousers hang in air. The wear doesn't have as much features as jerseys. It has minimum designs. Many teams prefer a narrow streak on the side instead of extravagant designs. You may see small logo of the team on it.

Stockings, shoes and belt

Though stockings and shoes are worn on the least prominent part of body, they are equally important to give completeness to the uniform. Stocking worn with baseball is generally large in size. It often covers a player's leg till the knee. It has been noted that color of the wear sometimes give a unique identity to a team. Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox are two examples. Trousers are tucked inside the stockings making the later piece of uniform more prominent. Belt is also worn by players to secure pants. It also gives a characteristic to the uniform.
