Who Is The Best Hitter In Baseball 2011?

The game of baseball has been America's favorite pastime from generation to generation but every year there's always controversy over who the best hitter in baseball is. If you could ask any major league baseball professional writer or analyst to tell you who the best hitter in baseball is somebody would eventually disagree or would come up with another header who that person thinks is better. It is so hard to tell who the best hitter in baseball is because there are so many different categories that different players are very skilled in. There is a whole runs, RBIs, hits, amount of strikeouts etc. For instance: Say a player hits 40 home runs in a season but strikes out every two or three or so at-bats. Yes that player is a good power hitter that he is a not a good overall hitter. There are many great hitters in major league baseball. And this year (season of 2011) I will tell you who I think of the best hitters right now by looking at all of the stats. 

If I were to choose any player in baseball right now I would say that the best hitter is Adrian Gonzalez from the Red Sox team. This season so far Adrian has hit 18 home runs and has batted in 91 players (91 RBIs) this is one of the highest if not highest RBI total in major league baseball right now. He also has an incredible average of.352. Adrian Gonzalez would be my pick as the best hitter in baseball but there are also many other amazing prospects.

Another one of the best hitters in baseball is Curtis Granderson. Curtis is on the Yankees baseball team and he is having a very good year so far. He does not have the highest average at.275 although he has hit 28 home runs and he has 86 RBI's. He is by far the best hitter on the Yankees as of this point in the season and he could potentially win the MVP award for leading his team's offense. Curtis Granderson is a great hitter but I do not think he is the best hitter in MLB baseball this year.

One of the most promising hitters in major league baseball this year is Jose Bautista on the Toronto Blue Jays. Jose is having a very good year so far with 33 home runs "leading Major league baseball." Jose Bautista also has 76 RBIs and his batting average is above 300. Jose is having a breakout year and is definitely one of the best in hitters in baseball.

All of the hitters I listed above are from the better offenses league "the American league" but probably the best hitter from the National League this year is Jose Reyes. Although he's injured at this point in the season he has done very well earlier this year. He has had some unbelievable stats including the best average in the N.L. at.336 and he also 34 stolen bases. Another great staff Jose Reyes has is that he has 144 hits this season and he has been injured for the past two weeks.
