ADHD and Soccer

 

ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. A child who is suffering from ADHD will have to deal with daily normal activities as if he is struggling with them. The activities which are take for granted in our daily lifestyle or the activities which we do not even remember are very complicated activities for a child suffering from ADHD. This disorder falls under psychiatry branch of medical science. A child who is suffering from ADHD will have to deal with daily normal activities as if he is struggling with them. The Adults who have ADHD and want to play soccer will have numerous difficulties because ADHD and Soccer does not match on the level of game. ADHD is a disorder which creates hyperactivity in the person therefore, the person's performance in game will not be normal with ADHD. ADHD and Soccer can be handled together however; the person suffering it has to maintain his course of medicines properly and has to take all the precautions which are to taken by the people suffering from ADHD.

 

ADHD and Soccer can be seen with a different approach at times, where the player will be aggressive because of ADHD. ADHD gives the player hyperactivity, which causes frustration and a lot of difficulties in the player, which will give him aggressive approach towards the game. ADHD and Soccer when viewed from this approach can be positive. However this will not turn out to be normal in most of the cases because it is not necessary that ADHD and soccer will go hand in hand to make the player enough aggressive for the field. The result may turn out as in the player will be more aggressive than what is required on the field. Many times the player's selection will be difficult because, the hyperactivity can be issues raised by the health board of the team which can result in rejection of the player in soccer team due to ADHD. However a player who wants to play soccer desperately can proceed with it keep a very important thing in mind i.e. to take the treatment course properly. The therapy may continue even when the child gets adult depending upon the progress of the person towards the treatment.

 

The ADHD patient who wants to become a soccer player has to be very serious with his/her treatment. Most of the time the treatment is able to help with the daily problems occurring with ADHD patients likes hyperactivity etc, which hamper their growth and opportunities as a normal person. Therefore we can see that a person suffering from ADHD can also play soccer very well, only if he/she takes the treatment process, comprising medication as well as intense therapy very seriously. If the person will take the treatment process sincerely then most of the daily problems including hyperactivity can be resolved.
