Louis Tomlinson owns a Football (aka Soccer) Team

Louis Tomlinson, the unnamed leader of the British-Irish boyband quickly becoming manband, One Direction, has bought a share of the UK Doncaster Rovers, his hometown football team and is now it's Co-Chairman. His kickoff event is a Crowfunder ending July 17, 2014. A fan led club support group was also launched the same day to support the new initiatives and membership is already over 400+.

Not everyone wordwide has a local football team to support. Louis has a goal to get the Doncaster Rovers to the Premier League. Something that likely will take years. Louis is inviting people across to the world to support the team he owns as he works towards that goal. Fans will feel ownership and investment in the team as they observe it's progress towards its goal over the years. 

Louis owns a football team. I think One Direction/Louis/football fans worldwide should donate £5 (or more) to his trust project ASAP. 

I see a lot of people saying that they don't want to donate because it's not for charity, that Louis is just trying to get money from his One Direction fans, etc... Here is my take on things.

The trust while not strictly classified as a charity will be used for among other things, the commuity outreach program, including Youth soccer which we all know is something close to Louis' heart. He also talked about family programming such as bringing back Lads and Dads Day which he attended with his dad. Other teams in the Premier League have fans all over the world, there is no reason why the Doncaster Rovers through Louis can't have fans all over the world. Louis wants to be a hands on presence at the club and through the Crowfunder packages, specifically the selfies, VIP box visits, celebrity football matches he will be immediately accessible to fans. But, this isn't just about Louis. He's trying to take his team which is in the third tier of football hieirarchy and take them to the top.

Our Louis, is a UK boy done good trying to help his hometown and is inviting his worldwide supporters to share in his passion. The Rovers represent a interconnection of sports, family, charity, and tradition.
