Real Madrid  vs Racing Santander (4-0)

Real Madrid gets another convincing home victory over a 10 man struggling racing. The win gave Mourinho's men a 13 point cushion at the top of the table until Barcelona played against Valencia. Ronaldo took Madrid into lead by heading the ball from the close range of a cross from Kaka inside 10 minutes of the game, where  Ronaldo equaled Juanito as he climbs up Real Madrid's all-time goalscoring charts. Benzema took the lead to 2-0 just after Domingo was shown a second yellow for a handball and leaving his struggling team with 10 men. The visitors were no where close to trouble Madrid's goalkeeper even single time throughout the game as they  didn't have any single shot on target.Madrid has been in top goalscoring form this season and they continued it in this match too, as they added another 2 in the second half when fit again Di Maria scored in his comeback match and lately when Frenchmen Benzema struck in the closing minutes to make it 4 for Madrid and his second of night which was assisted by Khedira. After this match mourinho's men will now look forward to continue with the winning form at Europe as they travel to Moscow this Tuesday.

Atheletic Bilbao vs Malaga (3-0 )

A brilliant second half display from Bilbao shoots them up to the 4th spot in the table  and will look forward to seal it for Europe in coming matches. It was a second half goalplay from the hosts, who scored 3 goals inside 4 minutes to stand ahead of the visitors who were also looking to book it for Europe. The game had nothing to look for in the first half which was attributed of some clinical goal keeping and not so convincing finishing. But Beisla's men came into the second half stronger and sealed the points in a 4 minute scoring spree. Amorebieta opened it for the hosts when he lashed the rebound of San Jose's shot and quickly it was followed by goals from San Jose himself and Toquero in next 3 minutes. It would have come hard to the visitors to find themselves in the situation as they were very much into the game until the second half where Bilbao dominated completely. Malaga's Joaquin and Rondon did waste chances in the second half and wasted opportunity to turn it around for them and will now see them lie in the 8th spot of the table, but they are only 2 points adrift Bilbao and will try to keep the fight for Europe on.

Sporting Gijon vs Atletico Madrid ( 1-1)

An eventful visit of Simeone's men ended up in a stale mate only cause of Sporting's goal-keeper Juan Pablo who was brilliant throughout the game to claim a point by Making Atletico concede in the league as well under Simeone's charge. Atletico went ahead when Lopez's shot was turned into his own goal by Canella. Atletico was playing with confidence out of their unbeaten run and had created chances regularly but the hosts responded well as Eguren scored the Equaliser just 17 minutes later. The game went into the second half and the hosts looked stronger in the starting minutes of the second half. Atletico again regained the power of pressurization close to the hour mark as Gabi and Toto's both found space to shoot which were well saved  by Pablo. It didn't look as a convincing day for Falcao as his efforts were regularly denied by Pablo. Sporting looked dangerous in the set pieces  and could have sealed three points when a chance fell to Colunga who was one on one with Ateltico keeper but it was the keeper who won the duel. The result didn't do much for either of the side as Sporting still lie on the relegation zone with 6 points from safety leaving a tough task in the hand of Celemente and Atletico still keeping close for the Chamions league spot at 6th spot.

Barcelona vs Valencia (5-1)

Messi's Quadriga makes Barcelona come from back and humiliate Valencia with a 5-1 win. Messi scored his 6th hattrick in a game where Barca was Surprised early in the game by a goal from Piatti, But from then Barca looked very composed and could have got a dozen of goal but couldn't only because of brilliant efforts from the visiting keeper Alves. Valencia lost Miguel to injury in a build up while Barca was constantly building the pressure on the visitors. Messi was truly at his best as he tore off Valencia's defence scoring 2 before the half time and could have got his hattrick also but only to be denied by Alves before the half time. Barca kept the Pressure intact in the second half as well with Messi scoring another 2 goals and helping Xavi with the 5th for Barca. Valencia was unable to create much of the chances and had only 3 shots on target out of which only one from Feghouli actually tested Valdes. Fabregas could also have been in the scoresheet for Barca as his shot rattled the post. Valencia was totally torn apart by Barca, who imposed defensive errors from the visitors and getting a comfortable win. Emery also confessed that his team was inferior in the match and had a very bad game tonight. This win leaves Barca 10 points adrift of Madrid in the La liga table.
