Molly Pitcher: Life, Legacy, and Role in the American Revolution

Mary Ludwig Hays McCauley (c. October 13, 1754–March 22, 1832), known as Molly Pitcher, was an American patriot who carried pitchers of water to the soldiers during the American Revolutionary War. She is known for taking over her husband's artillery after he was injured, and becoming the first woman to fight in a battle in the war.

Her goal was to support the soldiers in their fight for independence, and she risked her own life to do so. She is an icon of the American Revolution, and her story continues to inspire people today.
