Cemetery Reef on the north end of Seven Mile Beach Seven Mile Beach and is a practical second dive site after scuba diving on the west wall You can also snorkel off of the beach closer to shore. You'll be able to come across a number of different fish on this dive site such as, Honeycomb Cowfish, Blue Tangs, Blue-headed Wrasse, Blue Chromis, Spotted Drum and a lot more. The dive site contains a mix of coral fingers and sand channels to check out and a few nice Encrusting Octopus sponges.

Visibility on the site might be reduced a good bit at this dive site due to the amount of sand and bio matter in the water Yet, the dive site is good and if you are patient you can get a number of excellent underwater pictures. You can usually discover Yellow Stingrays on this dive site partially buried in the sand. There is also an old lawn chair in one of the sand channels where you can take a photograph reclining on the chair.

There have been a few Nurse Sharks on the site but this is not a frequent occurrence. The reef is in poor to average condition across a great deal of the dive site but you will still find several very nice hard and soft corals. You may also find a Green Moray Eel or two secluded in the coral. Be certain you explore crevices in the coral. You may also find Spiny Lobsters and additional crustaceans. There several large areas of sand that can be found throughout this scuba diving site and can be great places to search for various speices of rays, such as the Yellow Stingray}. I have found several juveniles on this site every so often.

Close up wide angle and macro photography are best to use on the dive site because of the quantity of particulates which are usually in the water. There is also a fairly good assortment of fish and other marine animals on the dive site and I have spotted the hard to find Spotted Drum. This is normally a scuba diving site that you can dive as a buddy team otherwise you might follow your dive master on a guided tour. It can be a good change compared to another of the standard second dive sites off Seven Mile Beach especially if you haven't been to the dive site it is definitely worth at least one trip.

As in all dives I encourage going slowly and take the occasion to enjoy this dive site. Peruse other site reviews on my blog and look at additional underwater photos on my website and follow me on Twitter @ images2inspire.The pool is open...
