Overcoming fear

Question
My son was hit by a pitch in the back of the neck.  Since that time, three months ago, he has been very hesitant to stay in the box.  I do not mean to say he jumps ouy, but he lines up too far away.  I have tried to tell him he has to 'get back in the box' and overcome this but he is still nervous.  HAs gone from a solid contact hitter to an easy out.  Any advice on this mental aspect of the game?

Answer
Tim one way to help him over come this fear is to teach him how to get out of the way correctly.Teach him how to roll out of the way. Also let him hit with tennis balls so that ever so often you can hit him with one so he gets used to the ball coming at him. Also he starts to understnd that he want die if he gets hit, it only hurts for a few minutes.Let me know if you need me to explain the ROLL.
