bat size

Question
My son plays high school baseball, he's 5'9 170lbs, and I'm wondering what size bat he should use. Last year he played showcase ball and did excellent with his 32/29. This year he's swinging a 33/30 and it seems he having trouble with his power. He's using a 2009 Easton Stealth which seems to be very barrel heavy. Help...Thanks in advance, clay

Based on height and weight the 32/29 and/or the 33/30 would be The right size(s) for your son.  Besides picking a length that is comfortable you need to pick a balance.  Some bats ,like you mentioned, are barrel heavy and some are more balanced.  If your son is going to move to the 33/30 just make sure it has the same balance as his other bat and the transition should be easier.
