Pitching hand injury

Question
Is the umpires decision wether or not to let a player pitch with a bandage or a half cast on the pitching hand if it is black and not the color of the ball if it does not hinder the pitcher? If he is allowed to pitch one inning can he be removed without protest from the opposing team?

Answer
Greg,

The pitcher cannot have anything on his pitching hand or arm.  The umpire needs to have him remove the bandage at the moment the infraction is noticed with no other penalty.  If the pitcher refuses, or later replaces the bandage, the umpire may eject the pitcher and/or coach.

I hope this has helped.
