Base Running Interference & Contact: Home Plate Scenario

Runner on 3rd runs for home as the pitcher is in his wind up,the runner is hit buy the pitched ball as the runner crosses home plate.What is the call ?
PS does it matter how many outs there are ?

I had this happen to me and I am not sure what the answer to the question is.The difference my player touched the plate before the ball hit him and he was called out.I dont think the call was correct becausethat would mean on a still of home all the pitcher woul;d have to do is hit the runner.
