Help my son is very discouraged

Question
Im a single Mom of a bright 12 yr old son. My concerns for my son this year in baseball, are that coach has his way of putting my son in the game. Try to explain that to a 12 yr old that the beginning of the season which was a tournemant, which my son only got to play ball the last inning which he was very nervous when put to play at the end of the games. I have watched my son play ball in other seasons and he seems to feel very nervous this year with the coach. Which makes him feel less confident in the fine baseball player that he is. What advise can you give me to help my son keep his head in the game. I know he is a sure hitter when he just relaxes and does what comes so natural to him..... Play Ball. I thought everyone should have a chance to play ball. There still kids, and having fun at the game. The rest of it comes in time and experence playing the game and learning by playing not sitting on the bench the whole game... Please help and your honesty is welcome... Sincerely, Carrie

Answer
Carrie,

I would suggest that you take any issues straight to the head coach or manager of the team.  He needs to know that you are upset, and maybe change can happen at this stage.

If after you talk to the manager, and you do not get a response to your liking, take your complaint to the local league Board of Directors.  This needs to be done in writing, and sent to the League President.

I hope this has answered your question.  Should you have anymore, please don't hesitate to ask.
