Basketball Skill Development for Under 15 Players: Overcoming Rejection & Improving Hangtime

Question
heyy

First of all i just want to ask is how to be stop getting blocked/rejected because i am 13 and i play for under 15's and im a little on the short side, i can jump pretty high for my size, and im trying to improve my hangtime (staying up in the air) but it dosn't really work i still get rejected/blocked and im getting really jealous of the taller players on my team because they score most of the baskets

Secondly, i just want to get better not just in a game but also 1 on 1

well anyway i hope you can answer my 2 questions.

thank you

Answer
Dear friend,

You continue being rejected because you try to beat them the wrong way. Hang time is not gonna help. They got the advantage in the air. You got the advantage on the ground. You got to use your speed. Always protect the ball with your body in order to get fouled instead of blocked.

1 on 1 entails a lot of work. First of all, you got to focus on dribbling skills.
Now about drills check this sites with handle improving and dribbling drills.

Start sprints with 1 or 2 pound ankle weights also.
