bowled out ball

Question
i have the   amf xs(white, bone)and as of two weeks ago, blue blotches(stains) have appeared all over the surface, nothing has been in contact to stain the surface,i keep the surface dull, sanded and the blotches appear deep into the surface, wont clean or sand off,at this time ball seems to also be "dead" like rolled out now,,i know the core in this ball is blue colored,is this a sign of a dead or rolled out ball now in the amf xs design?

Answer
Over time, all balls will lose some performance.  I do not think the discoloration is a sign that the ball is finished.
Even though the appearance of the blue is not a big deal, the age of the ball is probably the issue.  It may be time to replace it.  I would keep the XS and polish it to compliment any new ball you might purchase.

Good luck,
Chip
