Going pro

Question
I was a steady bowler for 5 years at my local lanes but haven't bowled in 2 years, it's something that's missing from my life and I hope to get back to joining the league this year.... I love it, have the passion for it so what steps do I need to take to turn pro; make it not part of my life but make it my life?

Answer
Brandon,
Having a minimum 190 average for a couple years in sanctioned competition is the base requirement, you may want to check out pba.com for other requirements. Being one of the top players where you live is a reflection of your skills and experience, so get to be the big fish in a small pond first. But having the ability to be effective competing with other pros is the next step.

Compete, compete, compete. And if you don't finish high or win locally and area or state wide, you may need more work, coaching and more on lane experience. Good luck with your goals.
