Ajusting to heavy oil conditions

Question
I am a above average bowler(198-215)depending where i am at but i am really struggling when i go into tournaments with heavy oil are there any stepping stones you can give me to try in practice for my next entry this weekend.  I throw a 16 pound ball between 15-20 mph with quit a bit of bottom hand lift. I own a ball for almost any condition.  How can you help me with this issue?

Greetings Robert! So let's look at the situation from your perspective. You obviously have lines you like to play to maintain that 215 average. Realizing it will be a little wet in the beginning, most bowlers are forced to move left per spinning release, to allow the ball to get contact with the lane by extending the lane travel of the shot to the right, and slowing the ball speed so it will pick up and turn to the pocket; Or the bowler will adjust how they deliver the shot with their hand position and remain on the right side of the lane (right hander) and try to match up with a different release as described in the first 10 pages of my book "True Bowler Adjustments". You can get a download version tonight a be ready by the weekend! (Smile)

You asked how could I help you with this issue and are there any stepping stones I could give you?

Answer:  www.TrueBowlerAdjustments.com  (This is where you can find many stepping stones to your success.)

Anyone reading this is going to suggest to you that, "you can move up, move back, throw straighter, change your cover, change your release, loft the ball at first, spin the ball slow, forward roll the ball, try changing bowling balls, break your hand down if it's up, change your tempo, check your vision for opposite eye dominance, use your eyes to watch the roll direction of the ball, get a coach who has tournament experience, ask the tournament sponsor what pattern will be used, what the oil length will be,...

I can go on and on, but I won't. I think I make my point here. I don't know if you are left or right handed, or throwing a backup ball! All I know is you would be better served to have all the answers in your hands, than just the tip of the iceberg. In today's modern game of bowling I provided hundreds of adjustments with my book!

I am a coach, this is what we do. We are happiest knowing you are going to elevate your game like you are doing by bowling in tournaments. We give you options based on what you give us, however for tournaments it can't just be a snapshot of a great bowler, it has to be a portrait.

ABOVE EVERYTHING Robert - I want you to win!!! I want you to win so bad that I do not want to leave sump'n out you may need to be successful. You want to know advanced bowlers "adjustments." Honestly, get my book because you are "way passed" just throwing the ball down the lane. It's time to whoop some booty! To do that you need an edge, that edge means there is a lot of things to consider so you can give yourself a better opportunity than the other bowlers on the lanes beside you! Especially, when tournament bowling! Get my book! Even buy my Help Card! Unless an experienced high level coach is there to see you bowl, people are guessing at best, what's right for you.

I want to share with you something John Jowdy made me understand in a very important and short conversation and I will personalize it to you.

I am always here to help you with your bowling, but one thing I want to do... is "not" mess you up!  We can say a lot of things to help try to get you on the right track as a bowler, but the one thing I don't want to do, is loose the bowler you brought to me. So before you invest in another tournament, I honestly want you to invest in my book. You'll get your money's worth, and I don't say that lightly on this forum. Visit the webpage, read the testimonies. I am here to help.
