Need some advice

Question
Hi
I need some advice on what I should do. I suddenly got interested in sports and my friend told me that I should come with him afterschool to practice. Now I'm even more interested in football and really wanna play. Only problem is, that I've never played before. I know the basic rules of football for example, you score a touchdown by getting the ball to the end zone and you have four downs to get a 10 yard completion. But a lot of the terms I hear at football practice, I do not understand. Also, I do not know the plays and the formations of football. If there's a guide for beginners like me fore HS football, please link me.

Also, this is the first time I'm playing any type of sport. I've always been lightweight, and quick, but I was in really bad shape. But after going to practice for a week, I feel that I am fit. But people say I need to work out so I can get a little bigger or I will get crushed. I weigh 118 pounds and the best thing I can do is run. I've been running a lot on the track and football field but I don't know what type of workout plan would help me the most for football. My parents are happy that I'm playing a sport, but they are worried for me that I might break something since I've been always pretty weak compared to other kids in school. I am working out slowly. I do 10 pound curls and 34 sit ups. Is there anything else I should be doing? Thanks for reading this long post.

Answer
Dear An Alien,
Here is a website that might help you learn more about football. http://www.amazon.com/How-To-Play-Football/dp/B001AMSFY0/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=d...

I am not saying that you have to buy one of these DVD I am just saying that it might help. Another thing you can do is sit down with your friend, watch a football game, and ask him any questions you might have about the game.

Your second question,
If were you, I would get into the weight room and start lifting. Ask you coach about it I am sure he would be more than happy put you on a good weight lifting program. Let me know how things turn out and if you have any more questions.

Your Friend, Louis
