Question
i am a 6th grader who quit the football team this year, i want 2 do it next year, and i want to be prepared. I like to do sit-ups, push-ups, and weight curls. please help be to become a better player!!! i am 11 years old.  THANK YOU!!!

Answer
Hello Aaron,

Well, right now you are doing all the right things. Push ups, sit ups are great to help develop a physique, as well as gain strength. If you are going to lift weights then I suggest that you don't get into heavy weight lifting. You are still young and have a long time to develop.

Start running sprints. If you have and know how to use a training ladder, that will help with quickness and footwork. Also if you can find a training parachute, that will help with speed. If not, you can try to find a hill, and run sprints up the hill. This will build speed and leg strength.
