Defensive Line Training: Exercises for Strength, Speed & Weight Loss
Question
Hey this is Joe....I am going to be a sophomore in high school..i play defensive tackle, i am about 6 foot 1 and weigh 265. I had a question regarding getting better. I don't mean to sound cocky but, at this point in time i am fairly good, i am 1st string but i think i have potential to play at the college level so i wanted to know some exercises to become faster and stronger but at a defensive lineman level...i also might want to loose some weight, so some ways to loose weight would be good to.
Thank You and please answer this!!!
Answer
#1, you said you are FAIRLY good, not good enough if you desire to play D1 or D2......If you are serious, first meet w. your guidance counselor & fill out the NCAA Clearinghouse paperwork....It's required. The school has to assist you in this.
Then get serious & check out www.P90X.com. Many high school & college teams utilize this program. You will not be disappointed....Check out eBay for better pricing. The most important part is the nutrition requirements.....
I promise you will not be disappointed.....
Good luck...Thanks for the question.....Andy
