Question
First ever eigth grade
I am a 14 year old eigth grader who has made the varsity football team in the high school I will be attending next year as a freshman. I start at 2-back, but my coaches now have me playing corner as well. I defend pretty well but mostly get beat on the hitch and go route. Can you please give me some tips to use so that I can defend that route and be a shut down corner.

Seriously, drop back 1-2 yards & never take your eyes off teh receiver's eyes.....His eyes will tell you what he will do because he is looking towards the area to make a clear route. Like baseball, once you take a lead off teh base you never take your eyes off of the pitcher...same concept.
NEVER LOSE EYE TO EYE CONTACT......I promise you will become better & will still be in his face.....
