Wide Receiver Walkon

Question
I would really like to play college football but i dont really have a real history with the game. I played QB when i was a freshmen in high school, well i didnt play but i practiced. Since then i have grown a fair amount and would really like to play wide receiver. im 6'1" 170 and i run a 4.5 but no highlight tapes or anything like that. What would i have to do now to get some of the wide receiver skills that i need to walk on at a DII school and make it? What type of workouts would i need to do to get faster and gain a little bit more weight? Thank you for your help!

Answer
What I would work on before trying to walk on at any school, at the college level, is your overall general shape.  You need to be in peak physical shape, so that you are able to give 100 percent in every drill that they ask you to do.  Also you need to be flexable and fast.  This means stretching daily and then running distance and sprints everyday.  Also you should be catching at least 100 passes a day.  Also you need to run passing routes and work on how well you run them.  GOOD LUCK COACH NOEL!
