QUESTION: hello coach. i am a high school football player from Massachusetts. i am going into my junior year and i now weigh 190 pound i am 6 feet run a 4.98 40 and can bench 285 puonds.i wonted to know what you think my chances size,speed and strength wise are of playing
college football after my senior year and what i need to improve on.thank you



ANSWER: Hi Mike,

You have the foundation already built to play college ball. Keep lifting hard and try to work that 40 time down into the low 4.8 range. What position do you play?  Let me know and I will give you more information.

Mike,

Keep all your options open as far as college, there are excellent D-2 and D-3 schools in the northeast if you dont grow big enough for D-1 football. I am not saying that is out of the realm of possiblitiy for you but you already know that your going to have to get bigger, faster and stronger to play at that level.
