Size of HS football player

What is a good size for a 14-year-old lineman? My girlfriend's brother is 14 years old, 5'8", and 218 lbs. He is also a powerlifter, and placed 2nd in the regional tournament. He went to the doctor yesterday, who said he was overweight, and he's gotten down on himself. No body fat testing was done, just BMI (which is off because he has a lot of muscle) Being an impressionable kid, he went to the store to get diet pills. I wish I could get a second opinion to help calm him down. Thanks very much.

No 14-year old should be using diet pills. He needs to calm down and take things a lot slower. One step at a time.

1. GET YOUR PARENTS PERMISSION AND ASK FOR THEIR ADVICE. THEY CAN BE OF GREAT HELP TO YOU.

2. TALK TO YOUR COACH HE IS THERE TO HELP YOU. HE WANTS YOU TO SUCCEED. HE CAN GET YOU STARTED ON THE RIGHT PROGRAM.

3. BEFORE YOU START ANY PROGRAM MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR PARENTS PERMISSION AND YOUR DOCTORS OKAY.

REMEMBER ONLY A DOCTOR CAN TELL YOU IF THE PROGRAM YOU ARE STARTING IS TOO MUCH FOR YOU. IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN TO BE SORRY!!!!!!!!!!

TAKE IT SLOW. Do not push too hard and make sure that you get checked by a Doctor first.
