Hockey Shootout

In a hockey shootout, does a goal count on a player's stats or is it just the winning goal in a shootout that counts on the stats????

Hi Colleen,

First want to apologize for delay in response. I was on the road for couple games this weekend and just got home today.

Shootout goals does not count towards anything for player stats, and also for goalies their stats are not affected either.

Now NHL.com does have separate stat columns for shootout attempts and goals for players, as well as shootout shots and saves for goalies.
