preperation/scouting

Question
hi my name is max. i live in colorado and have played hockey since i was 6. ive been told by the AA and AAA coaches at my home rink that I have the skills needed to play junior hockey but i cant afford to play AAA and get scouted. is there another way for me to get noticed and coached to get better? If you know of any showcases or anything that might help me that would be awesome thx so much-

Answer
Hi there Max,

One way to get noticed is to attend the open tryouts of the junior teams you are interested in, each team has open tryouts throughout the summer, some at different location then where they play out of, and its just a small fee for tryouts.

There is 1 option you could attempt if its something you want to do/try to play AAA hockey. You could go around to business, explain your situation, why they should help you out and try and get a "sponsor" to help pay to pursue your goal. You could get all the $ from 1 business, or spread over multiple. This is another option.

For exposure camps, there are a few out there that I know off. Some of them include:

http://www.xposurehockey.com/

These are 3 of ones that I know of people who went and said it was very helpful in being noticed. The only problem with these 3 is that they are all in May, meaning for this year its over. But if you are wanting for next year, it would be something to keep saved somewhere and find out for next years camps.

If you are wanting this year, here are a couple still to be done:

Hope these help and get a start for you. Let me know if anything else I can help you with.

Good luck!

Guy
