RE: Blisters

Question
Hi,

I have a pair of Bauer Supreme One60LE skates.  I had them heat molded when I first got them and they are about 6 months old now.  Every time I skate, I get a blister on the inside of my left arch.  I have used blister patches, blister preventing sprays, etc. but still always get a blister (some to the point where I can barely even tie my skates without severe pain).  Is there any way better way to prevent blisters with these skates?  I play hockey about 4-5 times a week and am tired of dealing with a constant blister.  I also tried taking a few weeks off to let the blister heal, but the first practice back, the blister returned.  Any advice/help is appreciated.

Answer
Hi Nick.

Have you tried changing the sole inserts?  Obviously there is a loose area at the arch which creates the friction...
You might be able to change that and see if it helps?

Another thing you could try is changing your sock...  To a different material and or thickness...

Your last resort is to change your skates...

Hope these can help...  Blisters are no fun at all!

Good luck,

Martial
