Question
I am a Vancouver Canucks fan and wondered who our best penalty killers are.  Are there any stats for individuals on a team?  All I can find is the overall team statistics but nothing tangible for each player.  Can you help me find any relevant stats for the Canucks?

thanks in advance

Answer
Good Morning Geoff,

The only stats that the NHL does for individuals being shorthanded are shorthanded goals and ice time shorthanded.

Here is a link of the time shorthanded:

Looks like Willie Mitchell was your guys go to guy for killing penalties, he had the 4th highest amount of ice shorthanded in the league... http://www.nhl.com/ice/playerstats.htm?fetchKey=20092ALLSASAll&sort=shortHandedT...

And a link for shorthanded goals is:
http://www.nhl.com/ice/playerstats.htm?fetchKey=20092VANSASAll&sort=shortHandedG...

this shows that the opposing team had to keep an eye on Burrows as he could score a couple of shorthanded goals.

Hope this helps you..

Thanks,
Guy
