Question
hey guy, i really appriciate the help you gave me with the last question.  Now my new question is im a small guy at 5'7, now i carry more muscle than most but at 5'7 i was wondering what i should concentrate on doing to really stand out beyond some of the taller guys?

Answer
Hi Cory,

It all depends on your style of play on what to do to stand out, but it would just be the best at what you do.

If you are a scorer, make sure on shots you are giving it a chance, hitting the net and taking hard shots from everywhere. If your a defensive type forward - make sure never to get scored on. It would be to do the little things.

Now what is best is to be an all-around player. Being 5'7, coach loves it when you play as if you were 6'0", go in the corners and throw the body around, give hits, make plays out of the corners. Being tough on your skates and staying low will help with your balance when getting hit, and being able to stay up when hit and keep moving also impresses the coach and gets you noticed.

Hope this helps you stand out, and let me know if anything else I can help you with. Good Luck!

Guy
