Question
hi another question.i've been watching hockey and always stop play because of icing. What is exactly icing?
srry to ask you so many questions!

Answer
Hi there

Icing is when one team sends the puck down the entire length of ice without anyone else touching it.   This is usually done when you have too much "pressure" in your zone...  When this happens however the whistle is blown and faceoff comes back anyway.  Plus the team that shot the puck can not change their players - this is to discourage doing it everytime you are tired or to delay game...  as it can sure slow a game down eh?

Exception to this is when you are a man short - then you can do that without consequences.

Make sense?

Feel free to follow up!

Thanks

Martial
