Power training

Question
Im 20 and and am currently training for my 2nd year as an inside centre.  I played as front row for 4 years before missing 2 seasons due to back injury.  My question regards power training exercises.  I currently work a 70/40 ratio for weights to cardio on a free weights split program.  What i want to know is what sort of training should i be doing to give me that off the mark power to beat defenders.  Im already incorporating the standard olympic lifts such as clean, hanging cleans, single arm clean and jerk, box jumps, high lifts etc.  Am i better on increasing muscle size and strength (bw currently 96k with 1rm squat at 165k)or working on explosive power? And if so shoudl i try following a volume, pryamid or strength program on the explovie exercises.

cheers

Answer
Hi Scott, I appreciate that you re a rugby player and have asked me to answer this question because I am a "rugby expert" but the reality is that the question is more suited to a trainer or excesise expert. I try to be clear in my Bio to say that I say away from answering this type of questio because it is my opinion that you need to be consulting with a trainer in person.
