To old to play

Question
Hi I turned 36 this summer as a result I am wondering if I am maybe to old to start at club rugby.  I played for a whooping two years about 5 years ago but fell out of it for unrelated reasons.  I am not worried about my health or fitness levels (personal trainer/ group fitness instructor part time).  The two years I did play I was a winger but I am sure it was more to keep me out of harms way then any threatening pace.  I am 6'0" 210lbs lean (if that helps).  I don't think I would be rep'ping just wondering how old is to old to play(learn to play) competitively as NOBS (old timers) just doesn't appeal to me.

Answer
PS: Good on you mate, thanks for the rating, I read yesterday that the average age of the English team is 32 and the average age of the All Blacks is 22, and who is in the semi final and who is going home early? Age and cunning always beats youth and exuberance.

only you know the answer mate, some of the guys at the world cup are currently 35 (see the French captain and the prop) If you want to play then play, that is all there is too it. I have seen plenty of guys play well into their 40's. It is a confidence thing. Not to say you're a wussy if you don't play because at the end of the day you play for fun. Honestly at our age it is for the beer  and comradery.... and the beer. Don't get too hung up about it mate, just listen to your gut.
