Scrum Half Drills

2016/7/16 9:56:45

Question
Hi, I Play scrum half for my town team 1st eleven but next year i am moving to a senior team called portadown who are currently coached by ex all blacks coach Hika Reid. And i was wondering if it would be possible for you to give me some scrum half passing and conditioning drills?? Thanks

Answer
Hi Christopher,

I would assume that once you are under the good hands of Hika Reid he will set you straight.

Before getting to your new club, work on your fitness and speed, go there wanting to contribute to the club and not to be just another player. Make sure you own your position and make it harder for others to take your position. Your coach, like most NZ coaches look for players with heart and determination rather than flashy players. They look for players who will work as a team and will be teachable.

I wont give you drills for passing as you will be assisted with this, work on your fitness, running with the ball in hand. for your position try sprints.

Hope this helps
