Blinside flanker in the scrum

2016/7/16 9:55:51

Question
Hi

I currently play blindside flanker having been moved there from second row at the start of this season and find my knowledge on a few of the rules of this position slightly lax. For instance can I take the ball out of the scrum as a flanker? And also would you suggest a loose "head up" bind, or a much tighter bind?

Thanks

Answer
Hi David, sorry for the delay I have had some unexpected health issues and couldn't get myself set as "away".

No you cant take the ball out of the scrum, only the half back or #8 and only when the ball goes between the locks feet out the back of the scrum.

As for flanker - look on UTube got Mike Crons Flanker in scrum video it will be the best for you.
