how many times can a coach go to the mound in a  inning before they are pulled by the rule book

Answer
For high school, the limit on defensive conferences is by game, not by inning.

You are allowed three defensive conferences per game.  On the fourth, you must replace your pitcher.  If you replace a pitcher at a conference, it is not counted against the total.
