DP

Question
If you have 10 players can you use just a DP and bat 10 players in an ASA game. If so on the lineup card would you list the 9 position players defensive spots and the DP would be listed as DP? I understand that you can use the DP/Flex combo to play 10 players and only bat 9.

Hi Curt,

If this is a FP question the answer is no, you cannot bat 10 under any circumstances, only 9. There is no rule just to use a DP in FP without a FLEX who doesn't bat.  

In SP it's called an "EP" (extra player) and all 11 bat but any 10 play defense, but there is no similar rule in FP.
