Base Running in Girls Fastpitch

Question
If a batter bunts and you have a player already on 1st base, the catcher picked up the ball threw it to first base and got the batter who bunted out.

Now here's the questions the previous player on first had started to run toward second base but instead turned around and returned to first base.  Would this be considered no longer a force play since the bunter was already thrown out at ist.and
would the player returning to first base be considered out.  And if you throw the ball to second to get that runner out do you have to tag the runner as there is no longer a force play.  Or can you just tag the player even though she is standing once again on first base. Or is the original base runner safe on ist as there is no longer a force out since the bunter is out

Answer
The last sentance of your question is correct.

Once the batter was forced out at first the runner that was on first must be tagged to be put out and may return to first base if they want to.  Additionally, the runner may not be tagged out after returning to, and staying in contact with first base if the batter was already put out.

I hope this helps.
